This 24 hour Missouri POST certified course teaches advanced breaching skill and properly prepares the student to teach law enforcement personnel in this area. During this course students will develop tactical breach plans and participate in extensive breaching reconnaissance. Students will participate in several practical application exercises utilizing the following breaching methods; ram, pry bar, hydraulic, ballistic/shotgun, exothermic torch and rescue saw. Also during this course the student will be taught an overview of explosive beaching, safety protocol/standards, identification of locking mechanisms, identification of fortifications and innovative breaching techniques.
The student must be able to get up and down from standing, kneeling, and prone positions, as well as move forward, backward, and laterally. A student’s level of physical fitness can be a direct reflection to how much or little they learn. Instructor level students need to posses excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to the role of being a student-learner as well as an instructor. Disruptive or non productive attitudes need to be left at home. Students need to keep an open mind and be willing to look at and analyze new techniques, tactics, and procedures. We believe in giving the student numerous techniques and tools for the student to have at his/her disposal, in order that they may apply them to their particular needs. Students must be able to pick up and apply the concepts and techniques being taught. |
