The purpose of this eight-hour block of instruction is to provide the student a basic understanding of first aid skills, including bleeding control via tourniquet application; along with recommendations on how to build an effective first aid kit, and review of various medical skills that may be needed during an incident when Emergency Medical Services or Hospital’s are not readily available. You will also get certified in the Automated External Defibrillator(AED) and in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR).
